In the last meeting we decided not to make a release-candidate, in part due to assembly instructions having a test automation (to ensure they still run). We will be exposed to a bit more risk actually trying the downloads in different environments of course …
May I recommend we ask our user forum to help test nightly builds ahead of 2.26.0 release…
Checking 2.26.0 release notes for new features and testable items:
Java 17 newly supported
MapML new features Representation Style Classes and include query filters, custom dimensions, … lots here.
Raster Attribute Table - new extension
Multi-layer output in CSS ← this could be a new feature
GeoPackage QGIS compatibility
Please reply with anything more specific to test
It may also be a good time to review community modules / extensions:

Not really, it has been a new extension since 2.25.1
Multi-layer output in CSS ← this could be a new feature
Yes, along with scale dependencies by the Z level.
Also, see the new VT encoding options.
GeoPackage QGIS compatibility

It may also be a good time to review community modules / extensions:
graticule → extension or main
Does it have a maintainer? Otherwise neither extension nor main.
As far as I know, it has been only one production usage so far*, seems green for supported status.
They make sure the imageio-ext S3 and Azure cog range readers, and the GWC Azure blobstore can co-exist by upgrading to the current version of the azure sdk and a common netty dependency version.
I’ll try to get it ready by tomorrow Friday. As far as I can tell it’s all working good and our customer is heavily testing it, what’s missing is mostly updating the documentation and a good commit message. But it’s not mandatory and if there’s no time for a good review we can leave it out.

This other one would make for a good new feature:

Hi Gabriel,
I’ve merged the PRs and performed a release of imageio-ext 1.14.13.
I’ll leave it up to you to upgrade the version numbers in GT/GWC/GS (all projects have one).

Oh, the imageio-ext one would require cutting a release so I’m also not sure if Andrea or someone else at GeoSolutions will have time for it?

Hi Jody,
there is no jai-ext release planned, like… ever. They are done ad-hoc when Geosolutions needs one.
I’ve just merged the PRs and released a 1.1.27 for you, you’ll need to take over and update the version
numbers in the root level poms of the various projects (all of them, GT/GWC/GS… now here is where
a bit of BOM usage across projects would help…)
