It’s something that can be discussed, but requires a proposal… (once upon a time FOSS4G was in September, I remember

Result of meeting: 2.17.0 pushed back until march, an additional 2.15 maintenance release will be made by GeoSolutions (thanks!).
Because of summer vacations there does not seem to be capacity to release in August in alignment with FOSS4G.
