[Geoserver-devel] WMS/WFS/WCS sections in layer edit page

Hi,
I was checking this pull request trying to deal with a style inconsistency
in the layer edit page:

https://github.com/geoserver/geoserver/pull/1340
https://osgeo-org.atlassian.net/browse/GEOS-6968

So the issue basically is that we have a complex group of settings for
WMS, for WFS and for WCS, and WCS is the only one trying to give
it a over-arching title, see here:

Inline image 2

and compare to WMS/WFS instead:

Inline image 1

I’d say, we either need to prefix each WCS title with a “WCS”, like “WCS request SRS”,
“WCS respose SRS” and so on, or somewhat promote “WMS settings” and
“WFS settings” to the same level as “WCS settings” but… the “WCS settings” title is not very convincing
to me, it looks less important than the others.

All in all it’s a trivial change that someone good at CSS should be able to fix in a split
second…

Cheers
Andrea

Thanks Andrea, this was on my list for easy UI improvement. I had actually hopes to call out the sections by operation so it is easier to maintain in the future. “WMS Capabilities”, “WCS Capabilities” etc …

Devon has done a couple wicket pull requests, perhaps he could look at this next week.
