[Geoserver-devel] Wrapping up 2023 budget and spending

We have some funding available from 2024:

  • The OSGeo board 2023 budget is confusing to follow …
  • We also had a sponsorship target of $5000 for 2023 … and received $950.

Options:

  1. We can once again support https://github.com/bourgesl/marlin-renderer - I recommend we do this as a GitHub sponsorship; so the geoserver logo shows up as supporting this project.
  2. We could provide some funding to GeoSolutions to go towards build.geoserver.org hosting.
  3. Other: I also contacted Peter Smythe as one of our new volunteers to ask if there was anything we could do to acknowledge his assistance. Peter has indicated we could make a donation to the https://gissa.org.za which is his regional cartographic association.
