I got a request from a GeoServer user who would like documentation on OCQL expressions. What do you recommend as a good CQL/OCQL reference?
Kind regards,
Ben.

The authoritative definition is is the catalog specification from the OGC where CQL is defined. I have a good reference page here:
- uDig : Confluence
Many of the other reference pages are written for developers in BNF form.
Finally I have command competition in uDig now with the complete function list

Mind Mauricio has been working on an extension of CQL called ECQL that
is a drop in replacement with extra capabilities, most notably the
ability to express FID filders.
It is something that would be nice to have... unfortunately with
all the other stuff going on this was forgotten about and we're already
in RC, but could be a nice improvement for 2.0.1
Cheers

There is a little typo in your link, but a search led me to the correct
page: uDig : Confluence
