[Geoserver-users] Free SLD/SE editors ?

Hi,

How about if you want to create map symbols visually e.g. a red arrow or a red dot to represent a gps user’s location. Udig does not allow me to create such symbols.

Regards,

Nyemike.

Hi,

Personaly I use UDig to edit my styles.
I just copy the SLD XML code generated by UDig and paste it in the “styles” part of GeoServer.

Best regards,

Mathieu

Hello,

I will like to find out if there are any freely available sld editors out there. I intend to create a symbol to represent a current gps users location in real time and udig does not meet this need.

Regards,

Roman.

You need to create these kind of symbols as font characters. Normally stored in a TrueType (TTF) font.
I use Type Tool (www.fontlab.com) to create textfonts.

Then you can reference them in the SLD.

Best regards

Andreas
