[Geoserver-users] GeoServer 1.7.3 Released!

The GeoServer team is proud to announce the release of GeoServer 1.7.3.

The fourth release of 1.7.x brings the following new features:

   * Improved support for ArcSDE rasters
   * CSV and Excel output formats
   * REST configuration extension
   * GeoSearch extension
   * JDBC mosaic extension
   * Directory data store
   * Namespace filtering for capabilities requests

Oops, when i sent the new and noteworthy i did not know it was being included in this release, which i now realize was discussed in IRC yesterday.

Apologies for that. We should try to amend as many of the announcements we can. Mike how far have you gone with announcements? Perhaps we can remedy this with a supplementary blog post?

More blog posts is (most) always better. I think it could be nice to talk again about all the raster work that’s been going on, and what’s coming soon. Maybe do a post tomorrow or next week on the latest in raster improvements, talking again about the design, leveraging image-io, gdal, etc.
