[Geoserver-users] geoserver as windows service and administration

Hi, I have recently install geoserver in windows 2003 server. When I run it in console mode it works fine. I wanted to install it as a windows service with “geoserver_service_wrapper”. It seems to work but now I can’t connect to the administration page “http://localhost:8080/geoserver”. and I have this error message: HTTP ERROR: 404 NOT_FOUND RequestURI=/geoserver Powered by jetty:// My config is : Window 2003 Server with IIS 6. If someone see what is wrong… Thanks.

I found the response in this forum. I had to create a system environnement
variable "GEOSERVER_DATA_DIR" with the value of the path of data_dir for
geoserver.
