[Geoserver-users] Geoserver clustering

Hello,

I want to set up geoserver clustering, but the documentation is a bit brief - https://docs.geoserver.org/latest/en/user/production/misc.html#set-up-clustering

The idea is 2 Linux servers, sharing the data folder by NFS. I’ve found out for now.

  • The secondary can’t be read-only
  • Log file path should be moved outside the data folder, or they overwrite each others logs
  • General – Catalog settings has a file locking setting. Are there more?
  • GWC settings – locking should be NIO
  • GCW storage – Internal H2 db can’t be used by 2 processes so must have real database.
  • Netcdf – Must also use a centralized DB

Am I missing something? Has anyone more experience or docs about clustering geoserver?
