[Geoserver-users] geoserver preview GWC layers WMTS to localhost:8080

Dear all,

I recently updated from 2.6.2 tot 2.13.2.

Jetty is running on 8080 and the IIS is the default web server. There are rewrite rules in the IIS which translate :80/geoserver to :8080/geoserver.

Geoserver works mostly okay with Global setting - Proxy base url: the external IIS address (domain:80/geoserver); previewing gwc layers makes the OL viewer attempt to open “localhost:8080”.

Is there somewhere a setting to avoid this?

Many thanks!

This is a known bug (https://osgeo-org.atlassian.net/browse/GEOS-7653) which was fixed at the FOSS4G code sprint (https://github.com/geoserver/geoserver/pull/3079). Currently this fix is only available on the nightly master builds but will be part of 2.14.0 when it is released.

If this is a critical bug for your company please consider sponsoring a back port to the old release branches.
