Quick question on the integrated MapFish server and GeoWebCache—is it possible to make MapFish requests through the embedded GWC instance with the GWC instance acting as a WMS server?

I haven’t tried it myself, but the mapfish module is not very tightly integrated with GeoServer. If mapfish printing works with tiled caches at all, the community module should work with gwc; you just need to configure the javascript client properly.
