For separate, programmatic concerns, we are interested in querying to find
out which level of the image pyramid will completely cover a desired
bounding box. I'm wondering what is the most natural way to answer that
question.
I've considered CSW, and it doesn't seem to be a perfect fit. On the
other hand, one could image writing a GeoTools DataStore which could answer
WFS requests in a hacky way. Is there a more typical way to answer a
question about a portion of a raster?
You could also consider writing a WPS process that answers the question
