I’m using the heat map style example here, http://docs.geoserver.org/stable/en/user/styling/sld-extensions/rendering-transform.html, as a baseline to create a heat map from my own data. I’ve install WPS and restarted the server.
When I click “Validate” on the unmodified heat map style example from the URL above it fails validation. Am I missing an extension that adds the XSD defining the Transformation element?
org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: cvc-complex-type.2.4.a: Invalid content was found starting with element ‘Transformation’. One of ‘{“http://www.opengis.net/sld”:Name, “http://www.opengis.net/sld”:Title, “http://www.opengis.net/sld”:Abstract, “http://www.opengis.net/sld”:FeatureTypeName, “http://www.opengis.net/sld”:SemanticTypeIdentifier, “http://www.opengis.net/sld”:Rule}’ is expected.
Are you using GS 2.2? You need to be running it to use this functionality. If you’re using an older version, try using this:
http://geoserver.org/display/GEOS/GeoServer+2.2-RC1

Nope. I was running Stable, 2.1.4. I’ll move to 2.2. Thanks.

Good stuff.
Let me know how it goes - I’m keen to hear about Heatmap use cases. Be good to see a picture if you get a nice map!
