Hi,
Disregard my prior message, I missed Arne's note... Same applies for
GEOWEBCACHE_CACHE_DIR.
Thanks,
Jim

Hi,
For glassfish, that link references... GEOSERVER_DATA_DIR is that the
same parameter as GEOWEBCACHE_CACHE_DIR?
Thanks,
Jim

Hi,
I "grepped" in the glashfish logs directory for DefaultStorageFinder
and
messages there stating...
*** Reverting to java.io.tmpdir /var/tmp//geowebcache
In the Geoserver logs, I am seeing this message...
Found no usable default cache prefixes !!! Please set
GEOWEBCACHE_CACHE_DIR if you would like a specific locationThanks,

Subject: Re: [Geoserver-users] Help setting GEOWEBCACHE_CACHE_DIR properlyHi,
I downloaded a fresh copy of the -bin version of GeoServer 1.7.4 and set
GEOWEBCACHE_CACHE_DIR in web.xml. This works, the log says12 Aug 11:10:25 INFO [storage.DefaultStorageFinder] - Found System
environment variable GEOWEBCACHE_CACHE_DIR set to /home/ak/temp, using
it as the default prefix.and I end up with the tiles and H2 database in the intended location.
Please check:
Do the log say anything ? Look for storage.DefaultStorageFinder
Did you restart the entire container after changing web.xml ?
Is the path writable for the container user ?
Are you sure the directive is not surrounded by comment tags (<!-- and
-->) ?-Arne

Hello,
We have tried setting the GEOWEBCACHE_CACHE_DIR web.xml property to
a directory on my UNIX server.Even with this property set, GeoServer seems to be placing the
cache in /var/tmp/geowebcache.Is there are way to actually change that location?
Thanks,
Jim
