[Geoserver-users] How to calculate the cache storage requirements?

Hi,

I need to estimate the storage requirements of a cache, to adjust the HD size to match. I´ve found this link http://workshops.opengeo.org/stack-intro/geowebcache.html#geowebcache and i didnt understand the formula.

This is my scenario:

I´ve a 2900km x 1660 km area (aprox -60,-24 to -46,-0.9) in EPSG:4326 that i need to create a tile cache from level 00 to 16. I´ve adjust the SLD to dont show any more geometry bellow level 16. How can i make this?

It has been 15 years, I did rescue the wiki page Estimating the number of tiles and size on disk · GeoWebCache/geowebcache Wiki · GitHub

Someone will need to recreate the spreadsheet.
