Hello there,
I still have an issue on how to configure the best GeoServer to server my geotiff files correctly, i.e. without quality loss.
I have done some tests by working directly with the provided data, with an image stored directly in the data_dir and published alone, without any reprojection.
As you can see below, when I put together in QGIS the WMS output from GeoServer (the red square) and the original files for the remaining area, there is a difference in quality.
How could I improve this?

Hello Alexandre,
I have a similar picture when I display tiles from wms-c. If you do not exactly match the scale of the predefined grid set, QGIS stretches or compresses the tiles.
If it is only WMS, this should not happen.

Make sure you have overviews, computed as powers of 2 steps.

Fair point. There is a QGIS plugin that allows to match exactly a cached tile layer zoom layer.
E.G., https://plugins.qgis.org/plugins/lockzoom/ (works for common tile matrix sets, not sure if it does for custom ones too).

Hello all,
My goal is not to view the WMS on QGIS, I just used it to compare the WMS output to the original file. I have the same issue with the OL client.
I will check the overviews.

Hello,
It was finally the interpolation mode which was not good enough. By setting it to bicubic, I got a better result now.
