[Geoserver-users] How to use watermark function in Geserver 1.6.1

Hi everyone,

Some time ago I asked about watermarking in Geoserver and received
several helpful replies on the matter. One of them (from Andrea)
stated that this functionality would be included in version 1.6.1 of
the application. Now that I have upgraded my system to that version,
I would like to take advantage of this, but I cannot find any
documentation that describes how to invoke it. Can someone take the
time to shed some light on how to apply this feature?

Thanks,

Roger

It was planned to be included in 1.6.1, but we had working patches
too late to include it in 1.6.1, so it has been merged into the 1.6.x
branch after the 1.6.1 release. 1.6.2 was released as a security
bug-fix (I hope you're running that one, yeah?=), so watermarking
will be available in 1.6.3.

Yet, if you want to play with it, you can download a nightly from
http://gridlock.openplans.org/geoserver/1.6.x/. Then go to the WMS
configuration, rendering panel, enabled it, choose a image on
your filesystem, an opacity and the position, apply/save
and see if it works for you.

Cheers
Andrea
