[Geoserver-users] Jpeg (set transparent color)

Hello,
I have uploaded a jpeg format into my server as worldimage, trying to set the “impost transparent color” but I can’t figure out how to do it.
Do you have any tips? when I upload a tiff format I don’t have this kind of issue.

regards.

Marco

Hi Marco,

GeoTiff and WorldImage are 2 different stores handled by 2 different geotools formats. The GeoTIFF format support the transparent color parameter while the world image doesn’t.

As a quick workaround, you may consider configuring an ImageMosaic on top of your original dataset.

You may also consider opening a JIRA (in case it doesn’t already exist) to notice that requested improvement.

Cheers,
Daniele

Subversion Kills Productivity. Get off Subversion & Make the Move to Perforce.
With Perforce, you get hassle-free workflows. Merge that actually works.
Faster operations. Version large binaries. Built-in WAN optimization and the
