[Geoserver-users] making config changes outside the admin tool

If I add a FeatureType by creating a folder and info.xml file, how can I get
GeoServer to load the new FeatureType without going to the admin tool?

Along the same lines, is there a way to generate a bounding box for a new
FeatureType without the admin tool?

Thanks,
Richard

If you're in java you can use the same code that we do. It's on the public subversion repository. I think we used to have the option to put 'generate' for the bounds, but I think we took the option out when we got it in the admin tool. It would be a good thing to have though, you can open a request in our jira task tracker for it.
