Hello List !
We wish to migrate from GeoServer 2.0 to 2.1.x We have more than 200 layers in our 2.0 data directory.
After installation of 2.1 version, we are facing problems. It is observed that by replacing the older data directory, the layers / workspaces, etc. are getting listed but when we wish to view the layer details or preview, we are getting null-pointer exception errors, bounding box not calculated, etc…
Is there any other specific migratory tool to use or we have to create the services individually again? Kindly guide us.
With kind regards,

Nope, the migration is done automatically by GeoServer itself, there is no external tool.
I don’t have experience with these errors either, can you share the GeoServer logs?
Cheers

Hi
I faced the similar issue. After stopping and starting apache/geoserver, it was working fine.
Have you tried once to do Geoserver itself…

Dear All
Thank you for the kind reply… Due to versions (PostGIS) mismatch, migration was not alright… Now, with the same version of database, we could migrate easily from our earlier verison…
Thanks a lot.
