Hi,
why, when i request the WMS getcapabilities with the parameter NAMESPACE=toto… the response contains only layers from this namespace, BUT ALSO all group layers, that don’t belong to any namespace…
how could i fix this ?
Also, how could i specifiy more precisly my group layer, like specifying a title, an abstract, a namespace… we can’t neither get its legend by a GetLegendGraphic request…
i think grouplayer are very usefull to improve the rendering if you have many layers and don’t need to manage them separatly, but not enough exploitable, aren’t they ?
thks

Since layer groups do not have a namespace they are being included by default and do not take the filter into account. Perhaps a better approach would be to only include layer groups that are fully composed of layers in the specified namespace.
What do others think?

At the moment this is not supported. A layer grouping (in the back end) does not carry around any metadata such as title, abstract, etc... Although it probably should. Would you like open a jira request for this?

Not sure I understand the question.
