To be frank I’m completely new to GeoServer. Just from last 1 week I’m seriously working it. I went throught lots of information I found on geoserver.org. But I could basic information to get aware. But somehow I feel not satisfied. Can any body guide me or show me some links wher I can get started. I have tried many things given in geoserver.org. I felt some how what I’ll be programmers part like learning etc. I don’t have words to explain my situation. But all the experts in the list definitely like me started one day. So they can share there experiences of learning curve with tutorials, documents, sample examples etc.
Hello Nari. Welcome to GeoServer. I am rather new to the community as well. The documentation is varied, but not particularity cohesive at this point. Over the coming months, I plan on doing an overhaul of the docs, and add some more examples as well. I do know that MassGIS has some good information on their website (http://lyceum.massgis.state.ma.us) You can also head over to GeoServer on IRC, where there's lots of chatter about the product (some of it comprehensible). Unfortunately, at this time, there is no magic bullet for getting started, but that will change. Please keep us in the loop with your experiences.
Thanks,
