[Geoserver-users] OAuth Plugin for Geoserver 2.14.x?

Hi List,

I am wondering if it is possible to use OAuth with 2.14.x along the lines of the current (2.18) documentation (https://docs.geoserver.org/stable/en/user/community/oauth2/index.html) and if so, where I can get the plugins alluded to in that documentation, for version 2.14.x. I have tried building 2.14.x branch from source but the repositories referenced in the pom.xml are outdated, and even when I fixed those issues as best I could it still failed some tests and I couldn’t get it to run.

Regards

Gus

The project moved the Maven repository to repo.osgeo.org so checking out the 14.x branch and changing the boundless repo to the osgeo repo should get you started, however the osgeo repo doesn't host GeoTools snapshots that old, so you'll also need to build GeoTools 20.x

Don't know about the tests, as 2.14.x is EOL basically you are on your own, but you could always build using "-DskipTests" to skip any tests

I'd upgrade to a supported release first though.

As I suggested in my email, I was able to solve those problems enough to build.

Yes, but after that it didn't run

I have an active instance of 2.14 which I would like to maintain for a little longer if possible, hence my original question - are the oauth plugins available for 2.14?

Hopes dashed I'm afraid, but thanks for trying

Gus

These are community modules, hence unsupported… basically means you’d need to be able to support yourself even on an active GeoServer series
(all you get is some binaries built off the nightly builds, which may or may not work).

Cheers
Andrea
