I am working on SLDs. I tried the GeoEXT in combination with the latest version of GeoServer and REST-plugin but no layers were found in the list. It is possible that GeoEXT Styler does not work with the latest version of GeoServer (?) because i had no problems with GeoEXT Styler with older versions of GeoServer.
Furthermore, an exception was thrown after validating a large SLD. Here the first five lines:
java.lang.IllegalStateException: Form too large221608>200000 at org.mortbay.jetty.Request.extractParameters(Request.java:1386) at org.mortbay.jetty.Request.getParameterValues(Request.java:773) at javax.servlet.ServletRequestWrapper.getParameterValues(ServletRequestWrapper.java:200) at org.acegisecurity.wrapper.SavedRequestAwareWrapper.getParameter(SavedRequestAwareWrapper.java:325)
……
Is there any configuration file where i can regulate the maximum size of SLDs or do i have to change the source code?

Do you have the restconfig extension installed in geoserver?

You are validating it from the geoserver ui? Not sure if this is a limitation or not… can you share your SLD?
