I start with an image to explain the problem, that Aime on IRC told me it’s a known issue: http://tinyurl.com/5rjncmk
The original nodata values are correctly colorized (following the SLD I’ve written for it: http://pastebin.com/MPht1108), while the border pixels after ditortion aquire the first color from the legend.
Is there a way to workaround this problem?
I’m working on geoserver 2.1-beta3

I'm having the same problem using geoserver 2.1.1. Did you find a solution
for this issue?

The bug is still yet to be fixed (not trivial, requires changes at multiple levels
in geotools). Not sure if workarounds exist, you might want to try giving 0
a transparent color in the color map, assuming that makes sense (it would
work only if 0 is not a valid value in your dataset to start with).
Cheers
