try it with the "validateschema=true" option.
Also, try it with the same SLD as the style-that works - this should
rule out the possibility of there being an SLD problem.
is it actually querying the layer? do you see this happening in the log?
1. stvu:waypoints_2d -- try with just waypoints_2d
2. <FeatureTypeName>point -- use "Feature" instead of point (upper case
"F").
3. try a combination of 1&2
