Dear all!!!
I have 30000 shape file, thase i am publishing through geoserver 2.2 as WMS service…but when i am accessing those layer i am getting very slow performance…any suggestion???

Under what scenarios is your performance slow?
Usual performance tips:
-
slow when zoomed in? make sure a spatial index has been generated for the shapefile - it will generate one the first time you access.
-
slow when zoomed out? Optimise the style files for speed (using min scale denominator / max scale denominator rules) for example if the data has a scale hint you could use it to only draw some of the content. Make a second dataset of simplified geometry and swap between the two based on scale
