Thanks Andrea for your kind response. We loaded these SLD and issue appears fixed.
I had another question regarding the JAVA version to install. I installed JRE 7.80 for 32 bit since we wanted to use geoserver as service. But we are running into heap space out of memory error (we are using Windows 2012 server R2 standard 64 bit)-
014 ERROR [geotools.rendering] - Java heap space
java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space
at org.geotools.geometry.jts.LiteCoordinateSequence.(LiteCoordinateSequence.java:159)
at org.geotools.geometry.jts.LiteCoordinateSequenceFactory.create
Even though we configure JAVA OPT variable and change the Runtime Parameters under JAVA Runtime Environment Settings
-server -Xms2048m -Xmx4096m -XX:+UseParallelGC
It almost feel Java binaries are maxing out at 300 MB. I want to try switching to server 64 bit (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/java-archive-downloads-javase7-521261.html#sjre-7u80-oth-JPR) but my current production is running at 32 bit. I am not sure if I need to reinstall Geoserver as well after change in JAVA binaries or I can change any setting.
Any thought from you will be great. Also if you need any more information- I can provide more details. Please advise.
Thanks

Hi Deepti,
the GetStyles request is not used all that much, I would not be surprised if you stumbled in bugs.
I don’t have any way to test, but trying to make a guess:
- For the repeated style, is it possible that the layer has the same style as default and as additional style?
- For the one that does not have any style, it could be that it’s a layer group (they don’t have styles of their own)
Cheers

HI Everyone:
I have some layers published on geoserver. I am querying the SLDs for these layers
One particular layer is repeating the userstyle tag in this SLD return even though on style editor and rest end point it is all fine:
http://xxxx/geoserver/general/wms?service=wms&version=1.1.1&request=GetStyles&layers=Herit%20Inv
But
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
sld:NamedLayer
sld:NameHerit Inv</sld:Name>
sld:UserStyle
sld:NameHerit_Inv_style</sld:Name>
sld:TitleHerit Inv style</sld:Title>
sld:IsDefault1</sld:IsDefault>
sld:FeatureTypeStyle
sld:NameHerit_Inv.png</sld:Name>
sld:Rule
sld:MaxScaleDenominator75000.0</sld:MaxScaleDenominator>
sld:PointSymbolizer
sld:Graphic
sld:Mark
sld:WellKnownNamecircle</sld:WellKnownName>
sld:Fill
<sld:CssParameter name=“fill”>#007B80</sld:CssParameter>
</sld:Fill>
sld:Stroke/
</sld:Mark>
sld:Size4</sld:Size>
</sld:Graphic>
</sld:PointSymbolizer>
</sld:Rule>
</sld:FeatureTypeStyle>
</sld:UserStyle>
sld:UserStyle
sld:NameHerit_Inv_style</sld:Name>
sld:TitleHerit Inv style</sld:Title>
sld:FeatureTypeStyle
sld:NameHerit_Inv.png</sld:Name>
sld:Rule
sld:MaxScaleDenominator75000.0</sld:MaxScaleDenominator>
sld:PointSymbolizer
sld:Graphic
sld:Mark
sld:WellKnownNamecircle</sld:WellKnownName>
sld:Fill
<sld:CssParameter name=“fill”>#007B80</sld:CssParameter>
</sld:Fill>
sld:Stroke/
</sld:Mark>
sld:Size4</sld:Size>
</sld:Graphic>
</sld:PointSymbolizer>
</sld:Rule>
</sld:FeatureTypeStyle>
</sld:UserStyle>
</sld:NamedLayer>
</sld:StyledLayerDescriptor>
On the other side, one layer is missing all the style and returning me SLD without userstyle tag even though style editor and REST end has it fine:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
sld:NamedLayer
sld:NameToronto</sld:Name>
</sld:NamedLayer>
</sld:StyledLayerDescriptor>
Any possible solution?
Thanks
