Hello all,
Wondering if anyone knows if the geotools SLD renderer supports
"shields" for labeling.
Basically, can you make an interstate road label appear on top of an
"interstate road" sign?

Hi Saul,
Yes the geotools renderer does support markers. If you look at PointSymbolizer#setGraphic that should give you more information.
