[Geoserver-users] What about GML3 as datastore

Hi all

When I installed the geoserver-1.7.5-gml-plugin.zip and tried to connect to a gml file,
I got an error message about the gml:curve.
Somewhere else in this list I found that this error was due to the fact that this plugin is only capable in reading GML2.

Does anyone know when a GML3 datastore can be expected.
I’m (unfortunately) only a user and no developer.

Thanks
Jan Willem

We actually dropped the GML datastore in 2.0 because no one was maintaining it, and afaik there are no plans to make a GML3 datastore.
It would be incredibly slow unless you want to serve very small amounts
of data anyways (the format cannot be efficiently read and would be very
hard to index too).
