Agenda

Actions

  • Jody: Request a builds mailing list from OSGeo

build.geoserver.org certificate

how does it work?

  • Torben is the only one who know; and wishes to share - lol
  • self-signed lets encrypt certificate
    • 4 month lease, 3 month renewal
    • renewal service crashed; so Torben got an email
  • Lets try and send to a wider-received email
    • security.geoserver.org
    • OSGeo Contact email
      • This will probably get a lot of noise, perhaps avoid this one
    • Set up a new email list specifically for the PSC
      • Could do sourceforge ML
        • Might need to do some discussion, mailing list probably better
        • What should we call it?
          • Builds?
      • Could have OSGeo set up an alias
    • We also still have a geoserver-admin group floating around somewhere
      • Might be gone now…

Jody will request a mailing list from OSGeo: https://trac.osgeo.org/osgeo/ticket/3321

CITE tests

Peter is attempting to set up a public server for CITE tests.

Trying to get in contact with CITE team for troubleshooting, no response yet.

OSGeo hosting for CITE test server to be a reference implementation:

Where is the test version (test suite revision) specified?

Action:

  • Jody will check with treasurer about CITE sponsorship from prior years and make a motion to thank those involved in getting GeoServer re-certified.

Next meeting

Happy new year (no meeting expected in 2 weeks). Next meeting will be January 14, 2025.

Chit chat

CSR proposal completed, and is merged.

  • how is that holding up? So far okay …

Andrea - is looking at open PRs ahead of reformat.

  • modal dialog PR is large, mostly works, not resizable, some dialogs that are awkward.
  • David did one that was resizable, perhaps they duplicated work?
    • david’s javascript is not perfect (can only have one pop-up at the time)
    • may get CSS to do a max-width, then trust CSS to move it into a bigger box
    • david’s approach dragged the top border, and had a resize thing in the corner
  • action: Andrea will merge, David will look at resize as separator PR in the new year

Auto AI generated reports is a thing:

amusing bug:

  • Jira
  • just ui affected, per-layer-services disabled but shown

discussion about expression use:

  • in sortby, that could be straightforward if not easy
  • in query, a bit more involved to define an api, but we have all the implementation around to re-retype transform
