Hello,
Just a quick question - I was under the impression that GRASS can impor

t,

generate, export and display 24 bit images - is this correct ?

Cheers, Al.

GRASS works with 24-bit color tables, and thus can print 24-bit images to
appropriate printers. However, the standard GRASS Xwindows display driver is
only 8-bit, limiting your viewing options. A recently contributed bit of code
(sorry, I can't recall the author off the top of my head :frowning: ) allows use of the
8-bit graphics window on machines with 24-bit displays, still only displaying
images as 8-bit.

Regards,
