In the v.in.gpsbabel both quiet and verbose mode can be chosen at the same time. Isn't it contradictory?

In the v.in.gpsbabel both quiet and verbose mode can be chosen at the
same time. Isn't it contradictory?

This is true of all modules. Sure it makes no sense, but why is it a
problem?
