Converting the symbols is not a problem.
It would be nice to have a svg2gvs converter script (eps->gvs|d.graph too),
although I suspect some hand tuning may be needed. (do test both ps.map and
d.vect rendering)
As for the licence, I'm in contact with original authors, and I think
there are no major problems changing it to a GPL-compatible one.
Just let me know which one you prefer, and I'll do my best.
the existing one may be ok- there are several flavours of CC license, I'm not
sure which one this is. (e.g. the unlim distr without modification is not
compatible [OSGeo Journal uses this (rightly IMO)]). Some
clarification/translation needed. ie is it one of the standard CC licenses, and
if so which one?
