I was hoping to use WinGRASS for my upcoming GIS and Spatial Technologies in Anthropological Research class but there doesn’t seem to be any binary for the dev version of GRASS 6 like there is for GRASS 7. There is the osteo4w directory for GRASS 6.5, but no *.exe file if we just want GRASS, and nothing for 6.4 release branch. Is it just down for a bit or not being compiled?
The current dev versions are so much better than 6.4.2 stable that I’d prefer the students to experience them rather than the dated and more buggy stable version.

Our fall semester class starts tomorrow and when checking the material I noticed that the WinGRASS webpage says:
To install GRASS, launch 'WinGRASS-6.4.2-1-Setup.exe'
but there is also WinGRASS6.4.2-2
should it say WinGRASS-6.4.2-2-Setup.exe ?
I think people may be confused,
Thank you for clarification,

Thanks very much Martin. This is much appreciated by the Windows community... of which I am not a member, but I do know some of these benighted souls
Cheers
