Dear GRASS community,
I work at the Center for Geospatial Analytics at NC State University. I’ve been a member of the Core Development Team since 2012 and of the PSC since 2016. My recent major code contribution to GRASS is the new Python API, grass.tools. All my commits together touched over 60% of the current files [1], which include bulk maintenance changes such as indentation.
On the PSC, I proposed the motion to adopt the new logo and branding [2]. I have been the treasurer since December 2023, and while I have executed many reimbursements and helped secure funds for events, I have always been behind.
As a PSC member, I will support fundraising campaigns and vote for funding contributor meetings. I will also support changes which help people and companies offering commercial GRASS services.
In any case, I plan to work on using AI for the benefit of the project and to collaborate more closely with other projects, such as QGIS. If not elected, I will focus on my role as a Core Development Team member.
