grass to mapinfo

anyone written a GRASS-to-MapInfo (MIF) converter?

Started on it some time ago, but was scared by the fact that MIF needs
its polygons to be 'closed'; I couldn't find out how GRASS would handle
this. The MIF format is easy enough, so if you know how to make closed
polygons it should be a piece of cake.

Aren't GRASS vector polygons considered closed? (i.e., they start and end
on the same coordinate pair?) Or does "closed" mean something more?
