please, which version of TCL/TK is required for Grass 6.2.2.? 8.4.13
is the available version for my Mandriva Linux LF2007.
During the ./configure step the follwing error is shown :
checking whether to use Tcl/Tk... yes
checking for location of Tcl/Tk includes... /usr/lib
checking for tcl.h... yes
checking for tk.h... yes
checking Tcl version... 8.4
checking Tk version... 8.4
checking for location of Tcl/Tk library...
checking for Tcl_Init in -ltcl... no
checking for Tcl_Init in -ltcl... no
checking for Tcl_Init in -ltcl8.4... no
checking for Tcl_Init in -ltcl8.4... no
checking for Tcl_Init in -ltcl84... no
checking for Tcl_Init in -ltcl84... no
configure: error: *** Unable to locate Tcl library.
I installed all the TCL / TK related packages as following :
libtcl8.4-8.4.13, tcl-8.4.13
libtk8.4-8.4.13, tk-8.4.13

I assume that you don't have yet the -devel packages
installed. I am using Mandriva here with tcl-8.4.14 (here, 64bit):
rpm -qa | grep tcl
lib64tcl8.4-8.4.14-1mdv2007.1
lib64tcl8.4-devel-8.4.14-1mdv2007.1 <-- needed
tcl-8.4.14-1mdv2007.1
rpm -qa | grep tk
lib64tk8.4-8.4.14-1mdv2007.1
tk-8.4.14-1mdv2007.1
lib64tk8.4-devel-8.4.14-1mdv2007.1 <-- needed
