[GRASS-user] Measuring Radio Coverage

Hey Folks,

I was wondering if anyone knew of any modules/methods for measuring coverage of radio networks? The only one that I know of is a set of modules developed by the Slovenian Department of Communication Systems called GRASS-RaPlaT (Radio Planning Tool for GRASS GIS system) it appears to have been updated quite a few times over the years, but they haven’t submitted it grass-addons repo as of yet.

Did you already try it, I'd be curious about the results.

BTW: The fact that it hasn't been submitted to the grass-addons repo
(yet) is not a problem at all.

Hey Markus,

I’ll give it a go with some of the radio towers in Cary, NC if I can get ahold of the specifics on the equipment from Crown Castle and report back.

I’ve reached out to the folks out in Slovenia and my fingers are crossed that I’ll hear from them.
