[GRASS-user] Need help with Grass GIS!!

To the Grass GIS community:

I am new to Grass GIS and ultimately I want to connect attribute tables. First, however, I need get data from Vector works (on Mac) to a Grass GIS 6.4 (on PC). I have tried these steps: File, Import Vector, DXF, but I get error messages stating that I need to rename the vector map, in which I have tried.
