[GRASS-user] raster AVHRR

Hi,

I’ve try to import a raster image from this website:

http://www.class.noaa.gov/saa/products/search?sub_id=0&datatype_family=AVHRR&submit.x=5&submit.y=22

With gdal I’ve the following warning message:

ERROR 4: `/home/alfredo/archivio/AVHRR/NSS.GHRR.NN.D07282.S2337.E0127.B1230405.GC’ not recognised as a supported file format

Can I import this raster with grass?

According to
http://www.gdal.org/frmt_l1b.html
AVHRR LAC/HRPT (1 km resolution) and GAC (4 km resolution) should be
processed correctly.
If not, please write to the GDAL mailing list or contact Andrey Kiselev
directly, as
stated in the manual page.
