[GRASS-user] v.overlay: two line maps?

There are two maps of streams, one is more complete (i.e., detailed) the
other extends some reaches further up the basins. I would like to combine
the two into a single map (using OR/union), but v.overlay wants btype to be
area.

   What are my options?

Rich

Hi Rich,

Have you tried v.patch? That sounds like it might be watch you need.

Best,
Daniel

Daniel,

That looks like what I need. I looked at v.select but missed v.patch.

Thanks,

Rich

From an earlier posting:

using the second keyword of each module, I have auto-generated
a topic oriented GRASS manual. I wrote a small shell script for this.

Draft version available at:
http://gis.cri.fmach.it/download/grass_html/topics.html

Perhaps this should be improved and moved to the main GRASS server?

Markus,

I’m for it!

Very helpful, Markus. I started doing something like this for my needs,
but you have the more complete implementation.

Yep. Moving to the main GRASS server and putting it on the documentation
menu would be very useful.
