[GRASS-user] Where are the configuration and preferences saved?

For Mac and Linux at least, they are saved in ~/.grass6 and ~/.grass7 directories.

These are hidden in the Mac finder (unless you use something like "Invisibility Toggler.app") but accessible through the terminal.

I'm not sure where these directories live in Windows.

Also, doing this at the command line will make all invisible files visible all the time :

defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles -bool YES
killall Finder

(the second line just refreshes the Finder and makes the first command active)

To make the ‘hidden’ files invisible again do the same thing but put NO at the end of the first line.
