Juan,
Version: I downloaded "version 6.0 (stable) for fedora core 4", but
in fact the rpm contains grass61 !
Where did you download it from exactly?
Error description: nviz and d.nviz don't start properly from the user
interface. It seems that the GUI call the command as if it has
arguments, and so start directly nviz with no map information.
Using Grass 6.1 CVS 2006-02-20 for me nviz starts ok from d.m. But I confirm
d.nviz doesn't - it prints following error message to the terminal instead:
---
ERROR: Required parameter <input> not set:
(Name of existing raster map).
ERROR: Required parameter <output> not set:
(Name of output script).
ERROR: Required parameter <dist> not set:
(Camera layback distance (in map units)).
ERROR: Required parameter <ht> not set:
(Camera height above terrain).
ERROR: Required parameter <DEFANGED_frames> not set:
(Number of frames).
---
Forwarding to Michael.
I have solved the problem modifyng the file d.m.tcl
(at /usr/lib/grass-6.1.cvs/etc/dm/)
changing the calls to this command to term (instead of spawn)
(at lines 671 and 679).Thanks
Juan Carlos Torres
