after fiddeling arround with d.colors I managed that using the GUI does
not work properly.
Perhaps there should be a warning that it should be used from the
commandline.
This is because d.colors must be run in an xterm. To make it work from the
GUI requires a script rather than the autogenerated GUI. I'll try to make
one and commit it soon. Thanks for noting this.

Yes, exactly. Perhaps the are some more modules which work like this,
where this could be applied too.

I've already done this for r.colors, r.reclass, and r.recode. I'll try to do
something similar for d.colors.
