I'd like to get an eclectic mix of USGS DLG data, which is accurate but
lacking in labels, and TIGER line data, which is richly labeled but
lacking in accuracy. A paper posted at ESRI's web site
http://gis.esri.com/library/userconf/proc01/professional/papers/pap610/p610.htm
refers to the problem of matching features and combining attributes from
different vector maps as "conflation" and apparently a company called
ESEA sells software to assist with the conflation task in ESRI's GIS.
Is there a similar utility for the GRASS GIS?

Greg
