The modules should compile fine on 5.0, but really,
5.3 is much better than 5.0 and you should upgrade.
5.7 has a different vector architecture and that
caused a lot of modules to break or become obsolete.
A switch from 5.0 to 5.3 should not make anything worse.
When I get back home I will look into the possibility
of suplying ready-to-install binary modules that you
just have to copy into your GRASS 5 bin tree.
I would then upload the stuff to Michael's website
if that is alright.
Cheers,
Benjamin.

Thanks Benjamin!
I suppose I'll just have to wait then.
Now for a stupid question: I have both GRASS 5.0.3 and GRASS 5.7
installed (but not GRASS 5.3). Do you think I'll be able to use
the
modules with them?To my shame (I really haven't had time), I have never looked at
the
source code of GRASS at all (so far I have just "apt-get install"
the
binary .deb packages). As I understand it, GRASS consists of a
number of
seperate executables that can be called either from the command
line or
from tcl/tk and that the initial "grass" program just set up the
environment so that these executables become available on the
current
path. In that case will I really need to recompile grass? (I don't
mind
if there is no GUI available for the modules as long as there is
enough
help files).I'm just scared of breaking a working system when I recompile (and
I'm
quite pressed for time). I already found that some modules working
perfectly in GRASS 5.0.3 weren't working in GRASS 5.7 and that is
why I
have both installed (and use both: GRASS 5 for most raster and 3D
stuff
and GRASS 5.7 for most of the vector and database stuff). In any case, it will be greatly appreciated if you could e-mail
them to
me. If might be good if you also e-mailed them to my yahoo e-mail,
because sometimes the University e-mail server refuse large e-
mails. It
is: Chavoux@yahoo.comThanks for all the trouble. Enjoy Egypt !
Greetings
