Yes, but it is always the same. I have tried this:

ellipsoid, then imported the raster map of elevation in Germany and
painted it. I'm attaching the output PNG for you (you see it is too wide,
for example the Czech republic at the Eastern edge of the map should look
more like a square - delimited by three yellow mountain ranges). I think
it shouldn't depend on the raster map (I downloaded it from some free gis
server), so there is a problem in grass (of course it comes from between
the chair and keyboard, but as I told you, I don't know too much about
projections and their implementation in grass).
I'm sorry, but I'm no expert on German projections. Maybe someone else can
help ?
