Dear reader
I was able to import a DEM (2527.dat), which consists of the elevation data
between
-25S and -26S lat, 27E and 28E, using r.in.bin. When I tried to display the
import, a blank display
monitor came up. Just to see how the display of e DEM looks, I imported the
following ASCII grid (found in the help file):
north: 4299000.00
south: 4247000.00
east: 528000.00
west: 500000.00
rows: 10
cols: 15
null: -9999

It also imported without problems, but the display was a blank screen again.
How should a DEM display look, and what am I doing wrong?

Hello,
what does r.info "DEM-name" say?
Did you try to set g.region to match your raster (g.region rast=DEM-name)
