Hi all,
the direct connectivity between GRASS and postGIS is not very fast, due to postGIS lacks a topology.
In the postGIS Developers LIst they were discussing about enabling the storage of topological features in postGIS. I'm do not really know GRASS's vector topology, but maybe there is someone who knows it and who is interrested to speed up the connection between GRASS and postGIS.

PostGIS also provides an ER-diagram in the latest cvs.
